Megger MFT-X1 Multifunction Installation Tester
 
Rated to CAT IV 300 V, the Megger MFT-X1 is Megger’s first platform-based multifunction installation tester, designed for complete verification, commissioning, and maintenance of single- and three-phase electrical installations across domestic, commercial, and industrial environments.
 
Combining advanced loop technology, high measurement accuracy, configurable test sequences, and digital certification tools, the MFT-X1 allows electricians and contractors to carry out every required installation test quickly, safely, and reliably using one compact instrument.

True Loop™ Technology with Confidence Meter
 
Megger’s True Loop technology combines advanced non-trip loop testing with a patented Confidence Meter to deliver highly stable, repeatable, and accurate loop impedance measurements. This enables reliable testing close to the supply source, on electrically noisy circuits, and on RCD-protected systems without nuisance tripping.
 
The built-in Confidence Meter displays measurement stability and circuit noise in real-time, helping users confirm when readings are reliable and reducing the need for repeat testing. On quiet circuits, non-trip loop tests can be completed in as little as seven seconds.
 
High-Resolution Performance & Stabilised Insulation
 
The high-current two-wire loop test provides measurements with resolution down to 0.001 Ω. It also calculates prospective fault and short-circuit currents up to 50 kA. Additionally, the MFT-X1 features a stabilised insulation test voltage with accuracy of ±2% +2 digits, far exceeding the typical industry tolerance. This provides greater protection for sensitive electronics and improved confidence when testing modern installations.
 
CertSuite™ Digital Reporting
 
The MFT-X1 integrates with Megger’s CertSuite software platform via Bluetooth. Test results can be stored on the tester, tagged to specific circuits, and transferred to a smartphone or tablet for direct addition to certificates and reports. This enables a faster, paperless workflow and significantly reduces administrative time.
 
Modular Battery System & Rugged Design
 
The MFT-X1 supports both a rechargeable Li-ion battery pack and AA NiMH or alkaline batteries. The swappable design ensures maximum uptime throughout the working day. Built for demanding environments, the tester features a tough over-moulded casing and a CAT IV 300 V safety rating.
