The Thermapen Classic is an instant-read thermometer designed to make temperature readings for food safety and HACCP compliance quick and easy. Its large digital display provides precise measurements with a 0.1°C resolution across a wide range of -49.9 to 299.9°C.
The device features clear indications for low battery and open circuits. Powered by two lithium coin cell batteries, it offers a minimum life expectancy of 1500 hours. To further extend battery life, the thermometer automatically powers off after ten minutes of inactivity.
The Thermapen Classic is fully configurable via internal switches in the battery compartment. Users can disable the auto-off mode, switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), or toggle between 1° and 0.1° resolution. The casing is washable and includes Biomaster product protection to reduce bacterial growth.
Available in various colors, these thermometers can be integrated into color-coded HACCP procedures. This helps manage cross-contamination risks by designating specific probes for different food types or preparation areas.
