Megger BITE5-ADV Advanced Battery Tester
 
The Megger BITE5 Advanced is a comprehensive battery tester designed for lead-acid, NiCD, and lithium-ion batteries. It measures and records battery voltage, impedance, temperature, and inter-cell connections. Additionally, the BITE5 Advanced supports full discharge testing, monitoring voltage, current, impedance, and temperature throughout the entire cycle.

Battery Impedance Testing
 
The Megger BITE5 Advanced measures cell impedance, cell voltage, temperature, and inter-cell connections (straps). Recorded data can be trended directly on the unit’s touchscreen—users can view trended data for an entire test or for individual cells. The system allows for custom pass, warning, and fail limits for voltage, impedance, and straps. You can also record ripple voltage, ripple current, and float current, with data transfer available via USB or SD card for automated analysis in PowerDB.
 
Battery Discharge Testing
 
During discharge tests, the BITE5 Advanced records voltage, DC current, impedance, and temperature for every cell. Users can measure average impedance at the end of a commissioning test to establish baselines for future evaluations. Discharge trends can be viewed in real-time on the unit's touchscreen to monitor the health of each cell during the load cycle.
 
Parallel Strings
 
The Megger BITE5 Advanced is capable of testing and troubleshooting parallel strings without the need for string segmentation, significantly reducing downtime and setup complexity.
 
Recharge Monitoring
 
In addition to discharge testing, the BITE5 Advanced can monitor and trend the recharge cycle of a complete string to ensure proper recovery and charging profiles.
