Socket & See RCD PRO Professional RCD Tester
The RCD PRO is a digital RCD tester that will test the most commonly encountered RCDs to current standards. This includes standard (AC) type, selective (ACS) type, and A type RCDs.
Features:
- Tests most commonly found RCD types (AC, A, ACS)
- Simple auto test for 30mA RCDs
- Ramp test for convenience
- x½ and x1 test on all RCD types
- x5 test on 30mA RCDs
- Auto 0° - 180° toggle
- AC Voltage VLN measurement
- Distribution network operator polarity test pad
- Result Recall function
- Hands-free function
- Polarity and voltage present LED indicators
- Auto switch-off function for battery preservation
The Socket & See RCD PRO shares many features of advanced, more expensive multifunction testers, including ramp and auto testing. Advanced features such as hands-free operation and a built-in polarity test pad offer extra user convenience and safety.
Encased in a tough rubber boot with a large backlit screen, the RCD PRO is a "go anywhere" tool designed to survive frequent use. The smooth rotary dial and large buttons make it easy to use, even when wearing gloves.
Test Sequences:
30mA Auto Test
The 30mA auto test is available for A and AC type RCDs. The tester monitors the mains for correct polarity and voltage; if correct, the Volts Present LED illuminates green. Upon pressing the test button, the auto test performs x½, x1, and x5 tests at both 0° and 180°. Results can be toggled using the recall button.
RCD Manual Testing
Select the RCD type and multiplier required. If mains polarity and voltage are correct, the green LED will illuminate. The first test is performed at 0°, and the tester automatically cycles to 180° for the next test.
Ramp Test
Rather than applying a set test current, this gradually increases the level of additional leakage to identify the exact current at which the RCD trips. The tester displays the trip current along with a pass or fail indication.
Hands-Free
The Hands-Free function can be used with any RCD test. Once selected, the test will be conducted automatically as soon as the tester is connected and confirms correct voltage and polarity, without needing to press the TEST button.
Polarity Test Pad
Standard testers may not identify dangerous conditions where Live is reversed with Earth/Neutral. The RCD PRO's polarity test pad identifies these rare but hazardous wiring conditions.
The Socket & See RCD PRO is fully BS EN 61010, BS EN 61557, and EMC (BS EN 61326) compliant.
