This Fluke accessory allows a Fluke 78/88 device to measure the RPM of an engine through secondary ignition impulses. These impulses are found within spark plug wires, and the Fluke RPM80 Inductive Pick-up offers a selection for either conventional systems or DIS. The device converts magnetic fields, which are created by the electric current running through the spark plug wire, into a pulse that is able to trigger the measurement of RPM.
 
In order to measure the figure using your Fluke inductive pick-up, you?ll simply have to attach it to any part of the spark plug wire. Then, just select 1 for normal and 2 for DIS settings.
